“The firm has been operating for nearly 25 years. It has been managed for the last 13 years by Dominique Leuck, Master-craftsman and Compagnon who, from the beginning developped the idea of using natural stone in new areas. So it is that, beside the customary use of stone for building, floor tiles, windowsills, frames, staircases, columns, balustrades and fireplaces, the workshop also makes fitted kitchens, bathrooms and various pieces of furniture in which the white stone of Estaillades from the Lubéron quarries goes well with wrought iron, wood or Provençal fabric.

The idea was to show that with such an ancient material (between 10 and 25 million years old), and using the knowhow of one of the oldest trades in the world (stone cutting), today's craftsman is still capable of using his imagination, creativity and originality to make really unusual pieces for his customers looking for something out of the ordinary and of high quality, whilst being functional, aesthetic and reasonably priced.

This seems to satisfy new demands as the company now exports to the USA partner in New Orleans, Germany partner in Munich and Luxembourg (partner in Niederanven), and a web-site www.taille-de-pierre.fr enables people to see examples of their work and appreciate all the possibilities the firm can offer. The charm of natural stone of Provence brings a ray of sunshine into your homes and an exceptional reminder of holidays in Provence, and it goes well with all styles and tastes.”
